Cake, Coffee & Community Spirit: A Macmillan Coffee Morning Success!

Gunnery Works Community Raises £1,000 for a Worthy Cause.

On Friday, 26th September 2025, the Gunnery Works community came together for a brilliant Macmillan Coffee Morning – and what a morning it was! With the scent of freshly brewed coffee and the irresistible aroma of homemade cakes filling the air, colleagues, friends and local businesses gathered to support a fantastic cause.

Congrats to Our Winners

  • Supersleuth Sharon from GT Stewart took home the prize for finding the missing coffee bean.

  • The Wallburns team wowed us by correctly guessing the number of coffee cups in the picture.

  • GBR Digital proved their puzzling prowess, winning the team word search game.

Special Thanks & Shout Outs

A huge thank you goes to Vicky from Protronics for her wonderful donation of plants, which helped us raise nearly £100. We’re also grateful to Jacqui and Amanda from Orchestra, Sue from GT Stewart, and the Gunnery Works team for their marvellous cakes and bakes. Of course, we can’t forget Shaunnie’s mum for her delicious contributions!

We’d like to give a heartfelt shout out to Mustafa from Express Planning Limited and the Wallburns team, whose generous donations made a real difference. Thank you to everyone who donated, played games, bought a plant, baked, or simply drank coffee and ate cake – your support was invaluable. Canine Concierge, Baby, thoroughly enjoyed mingling with so many guests and had a blast playing with balloons.

Together, We Made a Difference

Thanks to everyone’s generosity and enthusiasm, we raised a brilliant £764 on the day. Gunnery Works has proudly topped this up, bringing our grand total to an incredible £1,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support!

A heartfelt thank you once again to every single person who got involved – together we really made a difference. Here’s to more moments of kindness, coffee and community spirit!
